Installing Vorras Mailer on shared servers
Vorras Mailer can work on shared server environments. If you are sharing a
server with others and you do not have root access it is possible to run
Vorras Mailer, but you will need to make sure you copy and attempt to write
files in directories where you have the correct file permissions. The
procedure to install Vorras Mailer is in general the same as in the case of
a dedicated server. However, some of the necessary software should already
be there, such as an installation of Python, and the ability to run cron
jobs or Procmail.
Another important condition to run Vorras Mailer is shell access to your
server; servers that support only FTP will generally not work, as you will
need shell access to complete the installation process. Please also make
sure that your server is configured to accept all incoming email (catch-all
account).
If you have any trouble running Vorras Mailer on a shared server please
contact us.
