Using a cron job
To use a cron job to handle incoming mail, your server must first accept all
Email (whatever@yourdomain.com) and send it to a ``Catch-all'' mailbox. The
placement of all mail into a ``Catch-all'' mailbox is accomplished by
configuring your server. See section 7 for more information. When you have
created this ``Catch-all'' mailbox on your server, all received Email will
be stored in the ``Catch-all'' mailbox and will be delivered to user
mailboxes by Vorras Mailer. By setting up the python file dispatch.py from
the Vorras Mailer distribution as a cron job, the mail located in the
``Catch-all'' mailbox will then be re-routed to its correct Email account,
successfully delivering all incoming Email. The cron job, in essence,
directs the new Email to its proper mailbox in your Vorras Mailer account
when it executes, (cron jobs can be set to execute every minute).
Instructions for using cron jobs are included at the end of the document.
